Unique

A japanese printing process, similar to screen printing. Risography is never perfect, that's what makes it so exciting. Special characteristics are color applications and offset. Colors are applied in layers, one printing process for each color.

Vibrant

Risography works with solid colors. What's so exciting about that; we can print with special colors like gold, flourescent pink and orange in small editions. The colors are semi-transparent, when applied overlapped it creates new shades.

Sustainable

The ink is based on rice bran oil - a waste product from rice production. Masters are made from hemp and banana leaf fibers. The Riso does not use toner, therefore it uses less energy and produces no fine dust.

Paper

We attach great importance to high-quality paper. The Riso only likes open-pored paper. Many of our papers are recycled and some are colored with waste products such as citrus fruits. Misprints are collected to create something new. Currently in the range: Metapaper, Colorplan, Favini Crush.
